Don’t Miss the Career and Internship Fair Coming to Campus this Week

Get your networking skills ready! 35 companies will be joining Trailblazers on campus for the Career and Internship Fair on Thursday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Gardner Center.
“We are really excited to collaborate with regional and local employers to help students network and meet with potential employers and companies,” said Shane Blocker, Assistant Director of Career Services.
“This year we are hosting both a fall and a spring internship fair,” added Ali Threet, Career Services Director. “We feel this will give the students more opportunities to research and connect with companies for internships and job opportunities as part of their career path.”
Students are encouraged to dress professionally, bring a resume, and be prepared for an interview. “We have had students receive job offers at these fairs,” said Blocker. “The more prepared students are, the more successful they will be.”
If a student needs help creating a resume, formulating networking questions, or crafting an elevator speech, they are encouraged to make an appointment with a Career Coach at dixie.joinshake.com or drop into the Career Lab, Tuesday through Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. Career Services is located on the 5th Floor of the Holland Centennial Commons.
Look for our Career Mentors, who will be handing out cookies on Wednesday to promote the fair! They will be walking around campus to help encourage students to “Be a Smart Cookie” and to “Get Your Chips in Order” by attending the fair. For more information, please call 435.652.7737.
