Have you ever needed professional attire for a job interview or a class presentation? Can’t afford to buy new clothes on a student budget? We have the answer for you! The Career Closet is NOW OPEN for all students and is located in Career Services, HCC 5th Floor.
A variety of styles and sizes are available. Students are welcome to take or borrow any clothing that is in the closet.
“We know that students need to look their best for interviews and presentations,” said Ali Threet, Executive Director Student and Career Services. “This service is a way for them to make a good impression without having to spend a lot of money.”
The Career Closet it a way to get clothing, accessories and even shoes to help students feel professional. The next Career and Internship Fair will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Gardner Center. Students are encouraged to borrow career attire before the fair.
Professional attire can make a big difference at career events. Shane Blocker, Assistant Director, Career Services said, “To make a great impression at career events students need to dress professionally.”
Another way to make an impression at this event will be to make sure your resume is POWER PACKED and ready to go! Gina Gottfredson, Career Coach, will be presenting a Resume Boot Camp Career Seminar to help students be prepared. Sessions repeat so students need to only attend one. Choose between Tuesday, January 21 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Zion Room, HCC 5th floor, or Wednesday, January 22 from 10-11:30 a.m., also in the Zion Room. This seminar is free and open to all students and community members.
