DSU Women’s Resource Center’s Fall 2020 Services

The DSU Women’s Resource Center’s goal is to facilitate access to resources, mentoring, and scholarships available to women across the disciplines. We organize campus events with professional resource speakers and work with community partners to offer additional support. Our overall mission is to help women achieve their academic and professional goals.

This semester we have teamed up with two groups in the community — DOVE Center and Support the Girls So. Utah — along with other service entities to provide campus support.

Our fall 2020 services include:

1. DOVE Advocacy Service through WRC will be available September 14th – November 30th every Monday from 3-5 p.m. in the WRC. This service is FREE for ALL students, faculty, and staff (regardless of gender). Walk-ins are welcome! This service is STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.
2. Support the Girls So. Utah Service will be available September 8th – December 4th during WRC office hours. This service offers FREE bras and menstrual hygiene products to students, faculty and staff in need. No questions asked — drop-ins during office hours are welcome!
3. WRC Laptop Rental Support will be available September 8th – December 4th during WRC office hours. This is for female students in need (first-come, first-served basis). Note: Please submit a one paragraph need statement to wrcstaff@utahtech.edu and we will schedule a laptop pick-up and drop-off.
4. FREE Hygiene Products will be available September 8th – December 4th (while supplies lasts) during WRC. This service has limited supplies and is on a first-come, first-served basis only.
5. FREE Safety Whistles will be available September 8th – December 4th (while supplies lasts) during WRC office hours. This is for ALL students, faculty and staff. Special thanks to our donor DSU Campus Police.
6. Get a One-Time Free Cloth Pantyliner from GladRags, an eco-friendly company. Email orders@gladrags.com using your DSU email address and mention this WRC offer — supported by DSU Sustainability and WRC.
7. We still have some items left for our WRC t-shirt fundraising effort. Sales will help fund WRC’s technology support project for DSU female students. T-shirts are sold for $10 in different styles, colors, and sizes. Hurry, limited supplies!
