WOMEN’S RESOURCE CENTER: SPRING 2021 SERVICES

The DSU Women’s Resource Center’s goal is to facilitate access to resources, mentoring, and scholarships available to women across the disciplines. We organize campus events with professional resource speakers and work with community partners to offer additional support. Our overall mission is to help women achieve their academic and professional goals.

This semester they have teamed up with two community partners — DOVE Center and Support the Girls So. Utah — along with other service entities to provide campus support starting January 25th. Check out the following items for your reference:

  1. Support the Girls So. Utah Service will start on Jan. 25 until April 28 during WRC office hours in Holland 489 (wrc.utahtech.edu/contact). This service offers FREE bras and menstrual hygiene products to students, faculty, and staff in need. No questions asked.
  2. DOVE Advocacy Service through WRC will start on Jan. 25 until April 26 every Mondays from 3-5 p.m. in Holland 489. This service is FREE for ALL students, faculty, and staff (regardless of gender). Walk-ins are welcome!
  3. WRC Technology Support Rental Project will start on Jan. 25 until April 28 during WRC office hours in Holland 489 (wrc.utahtech.edu/contact). This is for female students in need (first-come, first-served basis).
  4. FREE Hygiene Products and Other Helpful Resources will start on Jan. 25 until April 28 (or until gone) during WRC office hours in Holland 489 (wrc.utahtech.edu/contact). This service has limited supplies and is on a first-come, first-served basis only.
  5. FREE Safety Whistles will start on Jan. 25 until April 28 (or until gone) during WRC office hours in Holland 489 (wrc.utahtech.edu/contact). This is ALL students, faculty and staff. Special thanks to our donor, DSU Campus Police.
  6. Get a One-Time Free Cloth Pantyliner from GladRags (an eco-friendly company). Email orders@gladrags.com using your Dixie email address and mention this WRC offer — supported by DSU Sustainability Club and DSU Women’s Resource Center.
  7. Mentoring for Fall 2021 Application — connect female students in need of faculty/staff mentors on campus. Online application form is available at wrc.utahtech.edu and DUE on February 26, 2021 @ 11:59 p.m.
  8. WRC Laptop Support Award for Fall 2021 Application (for female students) — need-based support for selected DSU female students who lack tech access at home. Online application form is available at wrc.utahtech.edu and DUE on March 28, 2021 @ 11:59 p.m.
