As a part of Homecoming week, Miss Utah Tech was hosted on Sept. 23 and eligible students participated in a comprehensive competition involving multiple areas. These include talent, interview skills, public speaking, community service, and overall poise. Miss Utah Tech Alyssia Johnston was crowned as Miss Utah Tech along with four attendants.

Following Alyssia Johnston as Miss Utah Tech, each attendant was awarded as follows:
1st Attendant – Brooklyn Leifson
2nd Attendant – Ava Aiona
3rd Attendant – Kynda Cullimore
4th Attendant – Kennedi Drake
As Miss Utah Tech, Alyssia will be a public figure for the University attending events, and serving as a role model and voice for students on campus. She has transformed her community service initiative, The Monthly Move project, into a nonprofit organization that will allow students to get students involved on campus. She also plans to compete in Miss Utah in June 2025.
“Beyond winning the crown, Miss Utah Tech serves as an ambassador for the University, promoting scholarship, service, style, sisterhood and success,” Interim Director of Entertainment Alliance, Amy Gleave, said. “This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire fellow students and the broader community. The competition is not just about winning a title; it offers educational scholarships that support the academic goals of the participants.”
