Utah Tech University’s pickleball team became the DUPR Collegiate National Champions and finished the competition going undefeated.

“After winning the title all the nerves and everything from the whole weekend disappeared, all I felt was pure excitement and happiness.” -Benson Parry

UT’s pickleball team is a club on campus that has two facets. One being the competition team, that the four championship winning Trailblazers are a part of, and club nights where students are invited to come and play. The club hosts regular meetups and events, and members range from beginner to advanced players.

“On a typical club night, 80-120 students show up to play pickleball with about 600 unique students participating in club nights each semester,” UT’s pickleball club president, Dylan Ciampini, said. “We are getting lots of people involved with pickleball, no matter the skill level.”
