Crowning Our UT 2025 Homecoming Royalty

Trailblazer spirit was shining bright last week as Utah Tech University celebrated one of Homecoming Week’s favorite traditions — the crowning of our 2025 Homecoming Royalty!

After a night full of talent, personality, and beautiful gowns (and one tuxedo!), Katie Walker, a Utah Tech senior, took home the title of Homecoming Royalty. She was joined on stage by four incredible runner-ups: Ella Cox, Olivia Wolff, Sydney Healy, and Analee Hall.

New Traditions & Memories

Held on Oct. 21, this year’s competition brought together some of UT’s most dedicated and passionate students. Contestants prepared for weeks — juggling interviews, rehearsals, and classwork — all leading up to the official pageant evening.

The competition included several rounds: a private interview, fitness segment, talent showcase, evening wear, and an onstage question. From heartfelt poetry and musical performances to incredibly talented dance routines and lots of personality, each participant SHOWED UP.

And the Results Are In…

After an impressive night, the 2025 Utah Tech Homecoming Royalty was announced:

·      Homecoming Royalty – Katie Walker

·      1st Runner-Up – Ella Cox

·      2nd Runner-Up – Olivia Wolff

·      3rd Runner-Up – Sydney Healy

·      4th Runner-Up – Analee Hall

“I was first runner-up my freshman year, and then fourth runner-up my sophomore year,” Walker shared. “I wasn’t sure I was going to compete this year, but I’m so glad that I did.”

More Than a Crown

Katie isn’t just walking away with a crown and a boosted self-esteem — she’s also received a $2,000 scholarship and new opportunities to represent Utah Tech in events that promote student life and community engagement.

“As the vice president for community engagement for student ambassadors, I have grown a love for outreach in our surrounding community and find it to be a fundamental part of growing this University,” Walker said. “As homecoming royalty, I hope to engage in conversations that promote that growth.”

Homecoming Week at Utah Tech is always a time to celebrate connection, community, and Trailblazer pride — and this year’s royalty competition was no exception. Congratulations to Katie and all the contestants who brought their energy, talent, and heart to the stage.
