First Ever Major and Minor Exploration Fair

By University Marketing & Communication

To help prospective students, new students and current students, Academic Advisement and Career Services have partnered to bring a new tradition to the Dixie State University campus. The first ever Major and Minor Exploration Fair will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Zion Room, located on the 5th floor of the Holland Centennial Commons.

“Whether you are an exploratory/undeclared student trying to decide on a major/career path or a student who is considering adding a minor while pursuing your bachelor’s degree, this is a perfect event for you to attend,” Director of College Advisement Katie Armstrong said.  “You will learn more about the various Dixie State majors and minors in a fair setting where you can ask questions and connect with academic advisors and career coaches about different degree pathways and career opportunities.”

Every college on campus will be represented by the Academic Advisor and Career Coach for that college.

Did you know that Dixie State University now offers 60 degrees, including associate, bachelor and master level degrees? We also offer 44 minors. In addition, new programs, services and certifications are continually being added. The future for Trailblazers has never been so exciting!

“Thanks to the guidance offered by the University through activities and fairs like these, I won’t have to franticly try to figure out what to major in,” DSU student Addison Bronson said.

This event is free and open to the public, including high school seniors who may be interested in seeing what DSU has to offer. Visitor parking is available in Lot M adjacent to the Holland Centennial Commons building.
