Utah Tech University Women’s Wrestling Takes Fourth Place at Nationals

The championships took place March 14-16, with the team not only taking fourth place but also bringing home four All-Americans, two National Champions, an Outstanding Female Wrestler of the Tournament, five Academic All-Americans, and the third place Collegiate Cup, which is awarded based on combined men’s and women’s performance.
“It is extremely exciting to be able to compete at this high level,” coach Corey Anderson said. “We are in a building stage of development for the team and still were able to place fourth in the country.”
The women’s wrestling team dominated the 2024 season both on and off the mat, maintaining high academic standards and balancing their training with their studies. The team achieved a combined GPA of 3.26.

First place National Champion in 123 lbs weight class, Outstanding Female Wrestler of the Tournament, All-American, Academic All-American

First place National Champion in 170 lbs weight class, All-American

130 lbs, Sixth place All-American, Academic All-American

“I couldn’t be more proud of the hard work these ladies put into their training,” Anderson said. “I have even bigger goals for next year with the recruiting class coming in.”
