By Jake Harber

Rachele Schulist, a Utah Tech University student and physical therapist assistant, earned the highest possible score of 800 on the National Physical Therapy Exam.

Rachele Schulist, center, earned the highest possible score of 800 on the National Physical Therapy Exam earlier this year. PTA Program Director Drew Wilcox and Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Nicole Schneider celebrated with her.

“This score is unheard of,” Drew Wilcox, assistant professor of physical therapy and the PTA program director at Utah Tech University, said.

Schulist took the test earlier this year and attended an award ceremony at the beginning of October to accept an award for this outstanding accomplishment that only .6 percent of test takers achieve.

“All the teachers in the program are very involved and invested in the success of the students,” Schulist said. “This was an awesome experience! I enjoyed going to class every day, which is not always the way I feel about school!”
