Utah Tech University Library has received a grant from Utah Humanities and the Utah Historical Society to collect local Lantinx/Hispanic life stories through Estamos Aqui / We Are Here. This event helps to celebrate the stories, experiences, and contributions the Lantinx/Hispanic community has made in St. George.
This event is being held Friday, November 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Gardner Student Center – Living Room.
The Estamos Aqui / We Are Here project allows for members to get together and talk about their experiences living in St. George along with their diverse perspectives and stories. Panelists will also be present to talk about their experiences working in the project as well.
The goal of the project is to help promote conversation and deeper understanding with St. George’s Lantix/Hispanic community.
