The Faculty Awards honor faculty who demonstrate a record of exceptional accomplishments in all aspects of university life. The awards recognize and celebrate faculty members who have enriched Utah Tech University and the community.

Distinguished Teaching – Lauren DiSalvo

Congratulations to Lauren DiSalvo for receiving a Distinguished Faculty
Award. DiSalvo’s ability to engage students and get them excited about art
history has had great benefits within the Art Department.

Distinguished Professor – Rico Del Sesto

Congratulations to Rico Del Sesto for receiving a Distinguished FacultyAward. His service at the University as director of the Research Office and as an associate professor of chemistry has greatly benefitted our students.

Distinguished Service– Ami Jo Comeford

Congratulations to Ami Jo Comeford for receiving a Distinguished
Faculty Award. Splitting her time between serving as the ombudsperson
for Utah Tech and an English professor, Comeford has done great things
for the university.

Distinguished Research – Vinodh Chellamuthu

Congratulations to Vinodh Chellamuthu for receiving a Distinguished Faculty Award. Chellamuthu has great success in his work. One being his co-author work 10 refereed journal publications, serving both as keynote and panelist for eight events.

Distinguished Instructor – Mark Dickson

Congratulations to Mark Dickson for receiving a Distinguished Faculty Award. Dickson has been a part-time instructor at Utah Tech for 26 years, inspiring students to follow a STEM career by using curricular material that is pioneering and relevant to students’ lives.
